Box trucks carrying up to six pallets join a network of more than 1,300 qualified cargo vans, booked and vetted through the same OVN-qualified process

Box trucks let us say yes to the shipments in between cargo van and commercial truck size, with the same drivers, the same tracking, and the same standard our customers count on. ”

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL, UNITED STATES, November 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — OVN LLC, a managed expedite carrier for time-critical freight, today announced the addition of box trucks to its network. The expansion gives shippers, freight forwarders and brokers a single source for expedited shipments that are too large for a cargo van but don’t justify a full-size commercial truck.

The move answers a request OVN has heard for some time from existing customers, and more recently from freight forwarders joining the network. OVN dispatches more than 1,300 OVN-qualified cargo vans across the U.S. (including Alaska) and Canada. The company focuses on servicing industries where a single missed shipment can stop a production line, ground an aircraft, or delay medical treatment, among other critical freight. Customers have increasingly asked for the next size up. Demand is strongest among Tier 1 automotive suppliers, aircraft-on-ground (AOG) shipments, and manufacturers and plants facing a production shutdown.

“Our customers and partners have been asking us for box trucks for a long time, and the demand keeps growing,” said Oleh Holovatiuk, Founder and CEO of OVN. “Box trucks let us say yes to the shipments in between cargo van and commercial truck size, with the same drivers, the same tracking, and the same standard our customers count on. This is a natural next step in our growth.”

Most box trucks in the OVN network can fit up to six pallets per truck. Many are equipped with liftgates, and some drivers carry pallet jacks on board, which speeds up loading and unloading at docks and facilities without forklift access. The network launches with select owner/operators in their network already working with OVN. OVN will continue to expand its network and recruit additional box truck operators to increase capacity through 2027.

Same process, larger capacity
Customers book a box truck the same way they book a cargo van, through the same channels and with the same OVN dispatch team. When a customer is unsure which equipment a shipment requires, OVN helps size the load and recommends the right vehicle, so freight isn’t turned away or moved on a truck larger than needed. Every shipment, regardless of equipment, includes OVN as the carrier of record, a quote with a truck in hand, and tracking that begins before pickup.

Box truck operators go through the same OVN qualification process as cargo van drivers, including insurance verification through Verilane, the in-house AI onboarding system OVN introduced in September. For box trucks, OVN also captures detailed equipment information at onboarding, including dimensions, weight capacity, liftgate and pallet jack availability, so each truck is accurately reflected in the system and matched to the right load.

“The questions we ask at onboarding matter more with box trucks because the equipment varies,” said Constantine Alimov, VP of Business Development at OVN. “A customer with a 4,800-pound shipment and no dock needs a liftgate, and our dispatchers need to know before the truck is offered, not after. We are building the same visibility into box trucks that our customers already expect from our vans.”

Box trucks are available for booking now. Shippers and freight forwarders can learn more here. Owner-operators with box trucks interested in joining the OVN network can apply at ovn.llc/drivers.
