Venn, the leader in workspace security for remote and contractor workforces, today announced it has been named to the 2026 Inc. 5000, the annual ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in America. Venn debuts on the list at No. 98 overall — placing it in the top 2% of all honorees — and ranks No. 9 in Software and No. 12 for companies based in the New York – Jersey City metro area.

The recognition caps a period of rapid growth since the launch of Blue Border™ in 2022. Venn most recently reported 114% new business ARR growth and 30% growth in new-logo acquisitions going into 2026.

But for Founder and CEO David Matalon, the milestone is less about how fast Venn has grown than about why: “I started Venn with a simple belief: the future of work would be device-agnostic. What I didn’t anticipate was how fast AI would make that inevitable – and how much bigger the challenge would become.”

The workforce is being redefined

For many of Venn’s customers with remote workforces, it’s no longer just about where employees work or what laptop they use.

StoneX, a Fortune 100 financial services firm operating under some of the strictest data-protection and regulatory requirements in the industry, is a case in point. Rather than ship and manage corporate laptops or route its global teams through virtual desktops, StoneX uses Venn to secure company data directly on the devices its employees and contractors already use — keeping sensitive information compliant and under IT’s control, without the cost, latency, and management overhead those legacy approaches bring.

A defining problem for modern IT

Today’s organizations demand near-unlimited flexibility — onboard anyone, anywhere, support any device, and enable any application or AI tool.

Three forces are compounding that tension. Geographic expansion, as companies build teams across ever-wider footprints. AI acceleration, as organizations rethink who does the work, where it happens, and whether it’s human or machine. And a changing workforce composition, in which contractors, offshore teams, contingent workers, and BPO partners are now core to how work happens.

The result is a significant challenge for IT organizations: they can’t limit the workforce, can’t control every endpoint, and can’t dictate where or how work happens — yet they own the risk.

A new, device-agnostic approach

Venn attributes its rapid growth to a simple premise: modern organizations require a fundamentally new, device-agnostic approach to securing remote work — one designed for how work actually happens, that protects the work regardless of the device, and that treats AI as part of the modern workflow rather than a threat to lock out.

Rather than shipping and managing corporate laptops or routing users through virtual desktops, Venn protects the work itself — company data and applications — right on the computer a person already uses. Whether that’s a company-issued laptop, a contractor’s or remote employee’s personal device, or hardware managed by a third party. All without managing the entire device and potentially invading a user’s personal privacy. It’s an approach purpose-built for a workforce that no longer fits inside a single location, device type, or employment model.

Securing AI is the next chapter

That framing has placed Venn at the center of one of the most pressing questions facing IT and security leaders: how to safely enable AI across a distributed, blended workforce.

“Most of Venn’s customers are racing to put AI to work — and nearly every one of them hits the same wall,” according to Matalon. “How do you let people use these tools without exposing company data? That’s exactly the tension we exist to resolve, and it’s where we’re investing. Securely enabling AI for the modern workforce is our focus — and being recognized on the Inc. 5000 tells us the market is moving in the same direction.”

About Venn

Venn is the leader in workspace security for remote and contractor workforces. Built on Venn’s patented technology, Blue Border™ protects company data, applications, and AI workflows on any computer – without VDI and without fully managing the endpoint.

Installing Blue Border on a Mac or PC creates a company-controlled secure enclave directly on that device. All business activity inside the enclave – company data, applications, networking, and AI workflows – is protected and isolated from any other use on the same computer. Work applications run locally, with no performance tradeoffs, visually marked by a blue line wrapped around those application windows.

Blue Border gives IT a simpler, device-agnostic way to secure remote work, enable contractor and BYOD workforces, govern AI usage and replace VDI.

More than 700 security and compliance-driven organizations – including Fidelity, Guardian, and the IMF – trust Venn to support the strictest compliance standards: HIPAA, FINRA, SEC, NAIC, and SOC 2. To learn more, visit venn.com.
