Napa Valley Museum Honors First Responders with Free Admission September 11-13

First Responder Recognition Weekend invites visitors to reflect with special exhibitions at The MAC in St. Helena and Napa Valley Museum Yountville

NAPA VALLEY, CA, UNITED STATES, September 10, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Napa Valley Museum will honor first responders with free admission at both of its Napa Valley locations during First Responder Recognition Weekend, taking place September 11-13, 2026.

Held in observance of the anniversary of September 11, the weekend invites the community to remember those who were lost, reflect on the courage and dedication of those who answered the call to serve, and recognize the ongoing service of first responders today.

First responders are invited to visit Napa Valley Museum of Art & Culture, known as The MAC, in St. Helena, or Napa Valley Museum Yountville throughout the weekend as the Museum’s way of saying thank you for their courage, dedication, and service.

First responders can receive free admission by presenting a current department ID or other official identification. Regular admission applies to all other visitors.

At The MAC in St. Helena, visitors can experience “The Wyeths: Three Generations | Works from the Bank of America Collection,” including the Patriot’s Gallery, a dedicated section exploring American patriotism through the work of the Wyeth family.

Featuring works by N.C. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth, and Jamie Wyeth, “The Wyeths: Three Generations” presents the legacy of one of America’s most recognized artistic families. The exhibition traces themes of family, place, imagination, service, and American identity across three generations of artists. Through the Patriot’s Gallery, visitors are invited to consider how art can give shape to remembrance, civic spirit, and the emotional landscape of American life.

At Napa Valley Museum Yountville, visitors can experience “Mary Blair: Mid-Century Magic,” celebrating Blair’s imaginative artistic vision and distinctive contributions to animation, design, and visual storytelling. Known for her bold use of color, shape, and pattern, Blair helped define the look of mid-century animation and remains one of the most influential artists and designers of the 20th century.

Together, the exhibitions offer two distinct museum experiences during a weekend dedicated to remembrance and recognition.
