Gary brings more than 40 years of experience spanning law enforcement, investigative intelligence, complex fraud investigations and enterprise fraud risk management.
Gary served 33 years with the Waterloo Regional Police Service, retiring as Superintendent of Strategic and Tactical Services. Throughout his policing career, he held senior leadership positions with responsibility for intelligence, organized crime, major investigations, professional standards, tactical operations and specialized enforcement functions.
Following his policing career, Gary served as Assistant Vice-President, Fraud and Risk Management at Sun Life Financial, providing strategic leadership within the organization’s national fraud risk management function. His responsibilities included fraud prevention and detection, investigative response and broader enterprise fraud risk initiatives.
Gary’s experience includes complex fraud, insurance and benefits fraud, disability fraud, investigative intelligence, organizational risk and sensitive investigations requiring coordination with corporate stakeholders, insurers, legal counsel, regulators and law enforcement.
At Haywood Hunt, Gary will provide senior-level advisory support on complex fraud and investigative matters while contributing his extensive experience to the firm’s Corporate Investigations Division.
