Strategic partnership with Aiwyn selected after evaluation of 200+ technology vendors

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Aug. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Current, one of the fastest-growing accounting organizations in the country — with more than $600 million in annual revenue, nearly 30 partner firms, and over 2,000 employees — has selected Aiwyn as a strategic technology partner as it continues building a modern technology platform designed for the future of the profession.

Before selecting Aiwyn, Current evaluated more than 200 technology vendors, assessing each against requirements for open architecture, real-time data infrastructure across the client lifecycle, depth in complex billing and engagement workflows, and the ability to automate at scale without compressing margin. Aiwyn was the clear answer on all four.

Current is already planning integrations between Aiwyn and its broader technology ecosystem to support its partner firms as they compete with large incumbents and bring Fortune 500-caliber advisory services. Current will leverage Aiwyn’s in-house client portal, as well as automation around scoping and pricing, project and client setup, workflow and other areas across the client lifecycle.

“We believe the firm of the future is built by bringing together the right people, the right processes and the right technology,” said Steve Stagner, CEO of Current. “Our firms already have exceptional people and deep client relationships. Our job is to invest for the long term in the processes and technology that help them do their best work and continue to grow. Aiwyn gives us a flexible foundation we can continue building on as our firms, their clients and the profession evolve.”

Building for what comes next

Through the partnership, Current firms will gain access to capabilities, including:

  • Practice Management: Visibility into client and project economics, helping firms make better-informed decisions about growth, capacity and profitability.
  • Engagement Letters: Digital engagement and e-signature workflows that improve the onboarding experience for firms and their clients.
  • Payments & Collections: Billing and collections capabilities designed to accelerate cash flow and reduce administrative work.
  • Open APIs and integrations: Connection with the broader technology ecosystem and continued development of AI-enabled workflows and automation.

“Our goal is much bigger than implementing new software. We are building the technology foundation for the firm of the future,” said Tucker Haas, Chief Technology Officer of Current. “That requires partners who give us the flexibility to keep building, integrating and innovating as technology evolves. Aiwyn gives us an extensible infrastructure that we can build on for years.”

Together, Current and Aiwyn will continue identifying opportunities to connect technology, data and automation across the client lifecycle, giving Current firms access to an increasingly sophisticated technology ecosystem while preserving the local leadership, relationships and entrepreneurial cultures that make them successful.

“Accounting firms are putting a lot of trust in Aiwyn when they choose us to help run such important parts of their business, and we don’t take that lightly,” said Justin Adams, CEO of Aiwyn. “Current is building something ambitious, and earning the opportunity to support them across their platform means a great deal to our team. Our job now is simple: listen closely, be a great partner, and deliver every day. We believe the firms that will lead the profession forward are going to combine the relationships and expertise that have always made them great with a better technology foundation. We’re proud to help Current build that future.”
