CLEAResult, the largest provider of energy efficiency, energy transition, and energy sustainability services in North America, has acquired Connected Energy, a technology company providing demand management and distributed energy resource management (DERMS) solutions to electric utilities across the U.S.

Demand management and DERMS have been a growing part of CLEAResult’s work with utility clients for years, developed through end-to-end program delivery and partnership execution. Connected Energy’s established DERMS platform, hardware-based direct load control technology, and specialized agricultural demand response capability extend that work into commercial, industrial, and agricultural markets — an application where CLEAResult is already a recognized market leader.

Platform capabilities

Connected Energy’s DERMS platform delivers event orchestration, event optimization, data visualization, and performance reporting for utility demand management programs. Its hardware-based direct load control solution enables utilities to manage commercial and industrial customer loads directly, including a specialized capability in agricultural demand response.

This acquisition builds on capability CLEAResult has developed over years of utility partnerships and program execution, deepening an established practice rather than charting a new one.
